Young Artists, Bright Futures: UNICEF Ghana Celebrates World Children’s Day
UNICEF Ghana empowered young artists to shape the future through art.
On November 20th, UNICEF Ghana joined the global community in celebrating World Children’s Day. UNICEF Ghana unveiled an inspiring narrative that centered around the dynamic voices and dreams of children.
This year, we committed to amplifying the perspectives of children in view of that, we worked with children to articulate their visions for the future through the medium of art.
In the lead-up to world children day celebration, we organized a four-week creative art workshop in partnership with local artists, titled “My Rights, My World, My Future.”
This initiative aimed to empower children to visualize a better world through their understanding of rights and aspirations. The workshop equipped participants not only with creative skills but also encouraged them to imagine the future they desire.
The culmination of this art journey resulted in 22 pieces of artwork, each serving as a unique window into the vibrant, hopeful worlds envisioned by the children.
The highlight of the day was the unveiling of the children’s artwork. The imaginative pieces were displayed on a photo wall.
This was a special moment for the young artists. It was the first time they saw their artwork on display, showing off their creativity and dreams.
